Alain Giraud headshotOn May 31st, Alain Giraud will bring his Provencal California style to La Varenne. Alain has worked at  l’Ermitage Meissonnie, Hotel de Crillon, Grand Vefour, in Paris and Citrus in Los Angeles. In 1997, he joined Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel he opened Lavande in 1998. In 2002, Giraud launched Bastide and received an unprecedented five-star review from The Los Angeles Times.

In 2011, he created his first personal venture, Maison Giraud, in Pacific Palisades. He maintains the philosophy that California is similar to Provence in many ways, “I find it the perfect place to create Provencal-style food that is light and creative, with a sunny accent”.
