On May 31st, Alain Giraud will join us for a seasonally inspired class on Provencal-California inspired cuisine. Alain spent 15 years cooking in some of the best restaurants in France before earning an unprecedented five-star review from the Los Angeles Times for his work at Bastide. On June 21st, La Varenne is delighted to welcome back Josie Le Balch for an intimate class featuring the summer’s finest ingredients. Josie’s has worked in Ma Maison with Wolfgang Puck and L’Ermitage with Jean Bertranou. She was head chef at the Saddle Peak Lodge in L.A., and went on to open Remi in Santa Monica. Her restaurant Josie in Santa Monica has been consistently named one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles.
